The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO’s Internal Audit department invites applications for a full-time Senior Auditor with a financial focus.
The Senior Auditor will interact with all levels of management to carry out assigned audits, from planning to report writing, with a results oriented approach focusing on the broader business benefit. This position will be responsible for the development, execution, and review of internal audit programs that effectively assess financial, operational, regulatory compliance, as well as SOC 1 processes. This individual will also provide consultation on risks and controls, while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MIS, or related technical field required
Seven years of experience performing audit assignments; however, candidates with 3 or more years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply
Experience reviewing and approving audit work papers
Ability to bring closure to issues with minimal guidance
Ability to write queries in SAS or ACL to facilitate data analysis
Working knowledge of internal audit, operational effectiveness, and compliance is essential
Experience working for professional services firm providing audit, assurance management consulting, advisory, IT Consulting, or corporate finance preferred and CPA license is desirable
