Job Description/Responsibilities: Portledge School is seeking a Controller who will provide an efficient administrative back office by supporting accounting, billing, and financial administrative services. A strong candidate will have expertise in accounting in a not-for-profit or educational organization; an ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines; critical and creative thinking to solve challenges; excellent attention to detail; excellent written, verbal, and social communication skills; and comprehensive knowledge of Blackbaud Accounting Systems as well as Microsoft Excel and Google Suite applications.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field. Advanced credentials such as a Masters’ of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are preferred.
