We are seeking a tax accountant with one to two years of experience in tax return preparation, and accounting and bookkeeping within a public accounting firm environment.
The primary work responsibilities for this position are preparing federal and state tax returns including individual, corporation, partnership, fiduciary and exempt organization tax returns, and accounting and bookkeeping matters.

experience with complex hedge fund and private investment partnership K-1s, and
preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts and foundations.

effectively apply tax knowledge to individual tax returns and more complex business tax returns,
review more complex transactions and prepare reconciliations,
provide research support to a transaction review process, and
assist in period end and year end accounting closings.
The candidate must have excellent analytical skills, presentation skills, communication and people skills, and consummate professionalism, in addition to having a demonstrable record of being a self-starter. The candidate must be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing. In addition, this individual must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion while maintaining full control of the workload.
Candidate should possess the following credentials and qualities:
Undergraduate or graduate degree with an accounting major
Strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented work skills
Expert organizational and time management skills, and follow-up abilities
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, & Outlook; and QuickBooks
Experience preparing and filing payroll tax forms and returns
Experience preparing and filing sales tax returns
A CPA license, or the likelihood of being licensed in the near future
Experience with ProSystem fx Tax, a plus.
