Position Title: Assistant Director, Finance and Administration

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
In this role, you will be to managing and overseeing the financial operating budget in an all-funds environment and oversee select responsibilities for the capital budget.
Your responsibilities will include:
Accounting (payables, receivables, general ledger and reconciliation) for operating funds.
Job costing and customer billing for operating budget.
Procurement for operating funds.
Contract administration for operating and capital use.
Operating budget administration and financial analysis.
Report generation for operating and capital funds. You will adapt new campus financial initiatives and technical applications as well as develop financial policies, procedures and controls suitable for audit. The selected candidate will act as officer-in-charge during the absence of the Director, assist with overall Finance and Administration direction/vision for a staff of approximately 10, and assist the Director with reviewing/adapting business systems across Facilities units.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field is required.
Demonstrated expertise of financial procedures and processes, cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, and generally accepted accounting principles.
Advanced knowledge with Sarbanes Oxley compliance and other internal control measures (i.e. segregation of duties).
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and customer service skills.
Master’s degree, CPA or CMA desired.
Experience in a University or non-profit organization preferred. Experience with University financial databases/systems desired.
