Full Time 40 hours Grade 055 ESM Finance Schedule 8 AM-5 PM; WKENDS Responsibilities Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Senior Associate Dean for Administration and Finance the Eastman School of Musicâ™s (Eastman) Director of Finance is responsible for Eastmanâ™s finance function including the development and administration of operating, endowment and gift budgets, financial reporting, strategic plan financials and reports, variance analysis, gifts and endowment accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. This position will develop and monitor complex budgets, operating plans and tuition development models for Eastman. Accountable for ensuring the financial integrity of the general ledger. Participate in the development and implementation of systems and processes to support effective finance transaction processing, reporting, and train financial system users. Is the Eastman administrator for the Universityâ™s accounting system, UR Financials (Workday). Provide overall support to the Senior Associate Dean of Administration and Finance for the school in financial initiatives, annual budget, strategic planning, capital budgeting, special projects, and other activities in support of the mission of the Eastman School of Music. Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree in accounting or finance, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a health care and/or University setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer seven years relevant financial and managerial experience. MBA and/or CPA preferred. Proven ability to provide leadership, communicate effectively with multiple constituencies, manage multiple, diverse tasks, utilize critical thinking and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Utilizes a collegial and collaborative approach and must have a track record of building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and be proactive.
