The University at Buffalo School of Law invites applications for the position of Assistant Director for Accounting and Operations. Reporting to the Vice Dean for Resource Management, the Coordinator will work on a one-on-one basis on a variety of tasks related to the area of Resource Management, including:
Responsible for monitoring of all state, RF indirect accounts and UBF expenditures and budgets of the School, and regular reporting to the Vice Dean.
Develop and maintain a high level of proficiency as a user in the University's financial systems, e.g., SIRI, Concur and SciQuest, Budget System. Process purchase orders, interdepartmental invoices, credit card purchases, honoraria, disbursement requests, travel authorizations and vouchers.
Assist in creation of school/financial reports, trend analysis, variances in account activity, in support of the Vice Dean for Resource Management.
Manage and track the tuition waiver scholarship process. This includes regular reporting the Vice Dean for Resource Management of allocation balances and any related issues or concerns.
Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with key university staff in the areas of finance, budgeting, development, personnel, human resources, purchasing, employee relations, resource management and provost office.
Assist the Vice Dean for Resource Management with maintaining necessary internal controls, conducting reviews, providing training, and other duties as assigned, to ensure the financial goals of the School of Law are achieved.
Other duties as delegated by the Vice Dean for Resource Management.

Two years of financial/budgetary experience, and Bachelors degree in Business Administration (Accounting/Management) is required.
Experience, knowledge, and understanding of higher educational institutions is preferred. CPA and/or Master Degree in Business Administration with no experience. Strong interpersonal communication skills with high emotional intelligence. Ability to prepare and present written and oral presentations.
